Robert McNab is a documentary filmmaker and co-founder of the Artists on Film Trust, located at Chelsea College of Art in London which aims to establish the first national collection of footage on artists at work and in conversation. He has received the Sony Gold Arts Award for Radio and is the author of Ghost Ships - A Surrealist Love Triangle (Yale University Press). At the Karlsruhe Workshop McNab talked about his work and the role documentary film can play in our understanding of modern art and artists.
