Ghent Seminar/workshop Artist Participation (19 & 20 October, 2006)
The fifth Inside Installations seminar/workshop took place in Ghent in the impressive Handelsbeurs building and was organised by co-organiser, Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst (S.M.A.K.) The event focussed on the research theme artist participation.
Several results of co-operations between artists, conservation researchers and museums were presented. Professionals with experiences in interviewing artists shared their knowledge and a general framework was given from the field of anthropology. Day 2, was a workshop organised for project participants and guests and included a practical lesson in interview techniques.
