The old photograph from 1977 depicting the glass plate at the residence of the first owner Geertjan Visser as well as the dictionairy definition dating from the same period needed a conservation treatment. Although the old photograph is currently not considered an active part of Jopseph Kosuth's 'Glass (one and three)', it is kept in storage as a reference of the artwork's history. The dictionairy definition is still used when 'Glass (one and three) is installed. The conservation treatments was carried out by photograph conservator Clara von Waldthausen at the Fotorestauratie Atelier C.C. von Waldthausen in Amsterdam.
