Olafur Eliasson was born in 1967 in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Icelandic parents. In 1995 he graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen. Since then, built a consistent body of work ranging from waterfalls and sunsets to walls of scent and sculptures of light and fog. Often, he evokes natural phenomena by means of apparently simple technical interventions. A key concept in his work, is the relation between the (human) body and it’s physical surroundings. |
