Sinclair, Ross (1966)
Glasgow,Scotland
works and lives in Kilcreggan, Scotland

Ross Sinclair is currently an academic researcher at the Glasgow School of Arts, where he studied Environmental Art and graduated with a MFA in 1992.
He is known for his high-profile large installations and sculptures, and has developed a signature style in creating indoor environments. His sculptures, assembled from raw wood or ready-mades, which are colour-coded, reference social symbolism in a pop style. Bright red gallows evoke upheaval and execution, whilst a yellow table-tennis game becomes a platform to play out global power struggle. His lifelong devotion to his project ’Real Life’ is reflected throughout his work; the phrase itself is tattooed on his back.
