Criticising the Variable Media Initiative, Gfeller states: Storage, especially storage of spare parts and devices, is seen [by the Variable Media Initiatve] as problematic, while at some point any stock will be used up and/or devices will no longer function, and so the continuity of the work would no longer be guaranteed.
